Full Stack Developer -Data Science & Advanced Analytics

The primary role of the Full Stack Developer is to work collaboratively with clinicians, hospital managers, data scientists and hospital end users to design, develop and implement the back-end and front-end of applications (e.g. dashboards, web applications, stand-alone applications) that best meet the hospital end users’ needs and preferences. The scope of role is end-to-end, such that it includes all activities from requirements gathering, to tool mockup and prototype creation, to application development, application deployment and ongoing maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree in, Engineering, Computer Science and/or a related discipline

  • Minimum 5 years of full-stack development experience

  • Extensive experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, including JavaScript libraries(e.g, JQuery, Node.js and React)

  • Expert level knowledge in one or more of the following: Python, R, JavaScript

  • Expert level knowledge of SQL and SQL databases (eg. MS SQL, PostgreSQL).Experience working with non-relational databases (e.g. MongoDB) is an asset

  • Experience with popular web development frameworks, such as Django, Flask, Express.js, or Ruby on Rails

  • Comfortable working in a Linux environment

  • Proficient with version control systems (e.g., Git)

Junior Developer -Data Science & Advanced Analytics

The Junior Developer will work collaboratively with clinicians, hospital managers, data scientists and hospital end users to design, develop and implement the back-end and front-end of data visualization tools (e.g. dashboards, web applications, stand-alone applications) that best meet the hospital end users’ needs and preferences. Primary responsibilities of the Junior Developer include creating data visualizations informed by human factors design principles, working with the project team to understand user needs, creating scalable and secure software applications that meet these needs, and conducting / participating in design and code reviews. The Jr. Developer will also identify potential problems and performance issues, create production ready, high quality code that can be easily maintained and shared, as well as prepare of the back-end and front-end application operational / procedural documentation for users and technical support staff.

 

Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, and/or a related discipline

  • 1-2 years of experience developing cross-browser and cross-platform web applications

  • Demonstrated understanding of human factors design principles

  • Expert-level knowledge in web development languages, such as CSS, HTML and Javascript and JS libraries, such as JQuery, Node.js and React.js

  • Expert level knowledge in a programming language, Python, R, Java, C#, and/or Ruby

  • Experience with popular web frameworks, such as Django, Flask, Express.js, or Ruby on Rails

  • Experience working with Postgres and/or other relational databases and database tools.

  • Experience working in a Linux environment

  • Proficiency with version control systems (e.g. Git)
