Project Manager, Quality Transitions
Tara Raine is a registered nurse who has worked at St. Michael's Hospital since 2000. She has earned both a Diploma in Nursing from Mohawk College and a Bachelor of Nursing with Great Distinction from Athabasca University. She has also acquired professional certifications in both Critical Care and Neuroscience Nursing. Additionally, Tara has gained extensive experience providing case management in the areas of trauma and acute care surgery, tuberculosis management and orthopaedic surgery.
Her research area of interest is quality improvement and she has contributed to and initiated several successful projects, including decreasing length of stay for elective hip and knee arthroplasty patients, developing a framework to reduce alternate level of care (ALC) designation and developing a tool to predict discharge disposition after hip and knee arthroplasty.
Tara has recently completed a Master of Science in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety at the University of Toronto and will continue to utilize quality improvement methods and data analysis to improve transitional care across the integrated hospital network in her current role of Project Manager, Quality Transitions.
