The coolest things I've done in my career are:
I feel privileged to work in the emergency department and be able to intervene on people's worst day to help them through it.
If I could have a super power it would be:
I'd want to be able to teleport so I could travel as much of the world as possible without the annoyance of actually getting there!
I'm a "closet" fan of:
Cartoon movies
The nerdiest thing I do in my spare time is:
Read about astronomy and astrophysics, but I leave the tinfoil hat in the cupboard.
Three things still on my bucket list are:
1. Fly in a fighter jet
2. Travel to 50 countries by 50 years old
3. Learn to sail
My past experience includes:
I'm currently enrolled in a Masters of Engineering, with a focus on healthcare industrial engineering applications and operations research. My hope is to use this to complement my residency training in emergency medicine and find ways to improve efficiency and patient outcomes, as well as aid in strategic planning to make the emergency department run as smoothly as possible.
While concurrently enrolling in this Masters, I am completing my residency training, based out of Ottawa. Earlier in my residency, I also completed a Master's degree in Medical Education Leadership. I finished medical school in London, Ontario after completing an undergraduate degree in Health Sciences at McMaster University.
