Forecasting
Resources about the principle and practice of forecasting
We use forecasting methods quite extensively at LKS-CHART. For example, we have built models for forecasting patient volumes, acuities, and admissions for the Emergency Department here at St. Michael's. Below you will find freely available resources to help you think about setting up a time series analysis, conducting exploratory analysis, building forecast models and understanding the uncertainty in forecast estimates.
Both resources use R as the programming language for their applications.
