Esha Dobhal
Post-nominal
Title
The coolest things I've done in my career are:
-
At university, I co-authored a publication in the International Journal of Engineering And Technology on the Proposed Framework for the Reduction of Web Congestion using Classification
-
Worked on a project for the analysis of the Neurotechnology Landscape for the Ontario Brain Institute, Toronto which was such a great learning experience
-
While at IBM, I proposed and designed a new model to business stakeholders to facilitate real-time data driven decisions and elevate ETL performance by 40%
-
Planned and hosted the IBM India Carnival event to a wide IBM audience illustrating the company’s past achievements and future plans
If I could have a super power it would be:
-
The power to heal
-
Also, teleporting! It would be great to teleport to as many places/countries as I want in a short period of time and being able to try all the local cuisines would be a dream come true!
I'm a "closet" fan of:
Home décor and Home Makeover videos/shows
The nerdiest thing I do in my spare time is:
Create spreadsheets or notes for everything! I have a list of recommendations to do around town in Toronto, have sheets of apartments when I was moving, grocery lists, shopping lists, etc. (documentation and more documentation :D)
Three things still on my bucket list are:
-
Being able to travel to at least four countries in one year and do that every year
-
Do something creative along with my full-time job so as to satisfy my aesthetic soul
-
Learn another language (French?) bucket list :/
Wait, three things are not enough, I have a huge bucket list.
My past experience includes:
I graduated with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology. Since then, I have worked in various projects at IBM and Accenture in ETL, Data warehousing, Database management and Data Visualization in Banking, Telecommunication, Customer Service and Media domains. I moved to Canada to undertake a post-graduate certificate program in Business Analytics and upon its successful completion, worked as a Data Consultant before joining the Data Science and Advanced Analytics team at Unity Health Toronto as an ETL Developer.
Apart from that, I love to travel, try new cuisines and meet new people! So if you see me around, then don’t hesitate to say hi. J
