Elizabeth Leung


Clinical Pharmacy Specialist/Leader

Dr. Leung is an infectious diseases clinical pharmacist, and co-leads the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (ASP) at St. Michael's Hospital. Dr.Leung joined St. Michael's Hospital in 2013, after completing her PGY1 clinical practice residency (UCSF), and PGY2/3 specialty residency training in infectious diseases and critical care (Northwestern and Rush, with Midwestern University/Chicago College of Pharmacy). She holds a Masters of Clinical Investigation (MSCI) from Northwestern University and PharmD from MCPHS-Boston.  


Dr. Leung coordinates the Infectious Diseases course at the University of Toronto, Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy (PharmD for Pharmacists program). She also serves as a member of the Board of Pharmacotheraphy Specialists (BPS) inaugural ID Specialty Council, which advises upon conferring specialty certification designation to qualified infectious diseases pharmacists. Her research interestes include antimicrobial stewardship, optimizing PK/PD for multi-drug resistant organisms, and enhancing antibiograms for clinical use.
