Clinical Leader Manager, Emergency Department

BScN, CTDP

I have been an RN for the past 19 years working in specialties such as Cardiology, General Internal Medicine and the Emergency Department (ED). Currently I am the Clinical Leader Manager (CLM) in the ED and the Rotary Center at St. Michael’s Hospital. Prior to my current role I held a position as the Clinical Nurse Educator in the Emergency Department at Sunnybrook Health Sciences for 10 years. I have also had the pleasure to act as an Interim Patient Care Manager for the Acute Care & Critical Care Nursing Resource Teams & Centralized Scheduling Office at Sunnybrook and managed an Orthopedic Surgical and Step Down unit at the Holland Center in Toronto.

I hold a Diploma and a Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BScN) and am currently completing my Masters of Health Studies at Athabasca University. For a majority of my career I have had the pleasure to work in an Emergency Nursing capacity and also hold a certification from the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) for Emergency Nursing. I continue to teach trauma nursing and hold a position as a Course Director and Instructor with the Emergency Nursing Association (ENA) in the United States and facilitate trauma nursing education via Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).

I have also recently been certified as a Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP) through the Institute for Performance and Learning. I look forward to continuing my career with St. Michael’s hospital and contributing to the success of being a world leader in urban health.
