The coolest things I've done in my career are:
I've helped start-ups and small businesses get their internal network and infrastructure off the ground. My expertise is often directed "behind the scenes" of a project or business, but I think the cool part is being able to support an objective that's bigger than the size of my contributions alone.
If I could have a super power it would be:
My first pick would be to live as long as I want, but I'd settle for being able to make more hours in my day. There's so much interesting stuff to do/see. Who doesn't want more time?
I'm a "closet" fan of:
I'm not especially private about any interests, but tea has become a really big part of my life (and I secretly try to convert coffee lovers whenever I see an opportunity).
The nerdiest thing I do in my spare time is:
Most of my hobbies, I suppose? I have a 3D printer, play games, watch anime, run my own servers for fun, dabble with IoT ... you wouldn't pick a favourite child, so I don't see why I have to alienate one of my hobbies, hahaha
Three things still on my bucket list are:
1. Write a book
2. Make a game
3. become a mentor, or more specifically, help someone achieve a dream
My past experience includes:
My career started with Windows servers, and has moved nearly exclusively into Linux environments, managing network and server infrastructure. I've had a lot of experiences self-managing as a "one man team" which has given me a pretty strong ability to take action and hold myself accountable. I've done work for an MSP, solo consulting, repair shop work, and setup/management for various small businesses including start-ups. Really the whole kit and caboodle.
